Animals have always had a presence in my life. Growing up with pets, a space just doesn’t feel quite right until there is a furry ball curled up on the sofa.

However, my pet care journey truly began when I started to foster cats & kittens through the animal rescue VOKRA, while I was attending university in Vancouver.

I couldn’t commit to an animal of my own at that time, but I felt an unmistakable pull to contribute in some way. The cats I fostered had been through some tragic life events, and it was an honor to slowly build their trust and create a safe & respectful environment for them to heal within.

I then took on a handful of wonderful foster dogs, including those two chiweenies you see on the side!

In the fall of 2019, I made the decision to move to New Zealand to work & travel. I had the opportunity to stay & volunteer at many different homesteads and hobby farms throughout the country, in the 2 and a half years I was there. This is where my love for working with and farm animals blossomed, and I was able to gain experience and knowledge in caring for a variety of animals including chickens, pigs, sheep and goats.

One of the best decisions I made was to join the Kiwi House Sitter’s site – a national pet sitting platform. Through this site, I had the chance to take care of a variety of animals all over the North & South Island. These experiences allowed me to learn a lot about animal care by observing each household’s routines and expectations, and having to adapt to the needs of each individual pet. Although it was never easy to say goodbye, I was so grateful for each pet sitting experience I got to have.

Since returning to Canada in July 2022, I've had the pleasure of taking care of numerous pets across Victoria, whilst having a full-time job. Adding pet care into my life was therapeutic for me, and being able to farm sit on the weekends made me so happy. I have since made the decision to flip the scales, and turn my passion into a profession!

My top priorities are the safety and well-being of your pets. I believe in the importance of one-on-one, individualized care for your animals, and I'm dedicated to creating a stress-free and joyful environment for them while you're away. I understand that each pet has unique needs, preferences, and personalities that deserve to be respected. Your pets will be treated with the same love and care you provide, ensuring they feel safe, cherished, and content.
